Boston College High School (second) is dedicated.

May 26, 1950

Architect: Maginnis & Walsh. The school opens with the dedication of McElroy Hall, at 150 Morrissey Boulevard (then Old Colony Parkway). The entire student body moves to the new campus by 1957. Graduates include William Bulger and Terrence McDermott. The building is renamed St. Ignatius Hall in 2023.
